I don't remember exactly how the dream started but I knew that my mother was in an extremely bad mood, and kept complaining about my dad. I eventually got fed up with her after she snapped at me for getting mad at her for not buying healthy food once again. She wanted me out of her house and would not stop cursing at me and calling me horrible names. I was scared as I never saw her that angry before and questioned if I was dreaming. I went home and left her and my sister at the supermarket to go home where my dad was who told me not to worry about my mother which I was angered by because I did not want his reassurance, as he was worst than her. Then the world suddenly morphed, and I was in a world seemed to be set a few years in the future where vampires ruled over humans, like a dystopia. It was dangerous for humans to be roaming the streets, and I was angry and terrified at the situation, and at the fact that I didn't know how it was that it got like this. Every home had a vampire stationed at it to watch over the humans living inside. I was in my apartment building but it was much bigger than it normally was and much darker. It had a lot more floors and as I looked into the apartment on each floor I would see the different vampires stationed there. One vampire on one of the floors particularly scared me, as the whole apartment was pitch black and all could see was he blood red evil eyes which bore into mine, seeming to warn me to stay away, and I knew that he was cruel to the residents. As I came to my floor, I suddenly recalled a "memory" within the dream about the vampire that was stationed at my apartment. He seemed to have complete control over my mother, which angered me, as I was annoyed by her being so weak as to allow herself to continue being controlled by yet another man. My dad was nowhere to be found, and I presumed he was either dead or simply did not exist in the dream. I partially knew I was dreaming, and I hated that our vampire was specifically stationed in our bathroom, as it give us no privacy when we went. My sister and I decided to ask the vampire questions about the world, which he answered respectfully, and even seemed somewhat nice, which I hated because that was a contradiction, since vampires ruled over us like were we slaves. The vampire was only a dark cloudy face with red eyes and yet, for some gross reason I almost felt an attraction to him, and it seemed like he both did and did not feel the same way towards me. Eventually I left the building, and went outside only to be chased by vampire children who looked more like a drawing of a character from the cartoon Adventure Time than actual vampires. I was still terrified though, but somehow managed to escape upon waking up.
